AgentFlow

Tools, memory, approvals and cost, around the model.

AgentFlow is the agent harness we build on. It connects any AI model to your systems and documents, adds memory and a team of specialist agents, and wraps it all in rules, approvals and cost controls. It runs in your cloud, and it’s yours to own.

Why a harness

The model still cannot open your CRM.

Before it can take an action, it needs tools, memory, rules, approvals and a record of what it spent. AgentFlow is that layer.

The model on its own

Reads text, writes text

Can
Write, summarize, reason and answer from what it was trained on and what’s put in front of it.
Can’t
See your data, take actions, remember you next week, follow your company’s rules, or tell you what it cost.

The model inside AgentFlow

Reads, acts, remembers, reports

Adds
Connections to your systems and documents, memory, a team of specialist agents, safety checks, approvals, and a record of every step and dollar.
Result
People on your team can hand it real work, because sensitive steps wait for approval and every step is logged.

Whichever model you call this quarter will be a different one next quarter. The harness stays, and you own the code.

New to agents? Eight words to know first.

ModelReads text in and writes text out

A large language model such as GPT, Claude or Gemini. On its own, it can only read text in and write text out.

PromptThe instructions the model reads

Everything the model reads before it answers: who it is, the rules, background information and your question.

TokenThe unit AI is measured and billed in

Roughly three-quarters of a word. Models charge per token and can only read so many at once.

Context windowHow much the model can read at once

Like a desk: only so much fits. Everything the model considers for one answer has to fit on it.

AgentA model given a job, tools and rules

Instead of only answering, an agent can look things up, take steps and decide what to do next until the job is done.

ToolAn action the agent can take

Search the CRM, query a database, draft an email. Without tools, an agent can only talk.

Sub-agentA specialist the main agent hands work to

The main agent passes parts of a job to narrower specialists, like a manager.

HarnessEverything around the model

Tools, memory, rules, teamwork and tracking: what lets a model do real work. AgentFlow is a harness.

See it work

One request, every step on the record.

AgentFlow is the infrastructure around the model: tools, memory, approvals, evals and cost. It installs on AWS, GCP, Azure or your own hardware, and you can fork it.

    How it works

What happens when you ask an agent something.

Five steps, the same every time, whether the request starts in chat, an API call, a Slack thread or a schedule. Steps 3 and 4 repeat until the agent has what it needs.

    1. 1

      You ask

Type in a chat window, or another app sends the request, or a button or schedule starts it.

    2. 2

      It gathers context

The conversation so far, attached files, your preferences and notes, and relevant company documents.

    3. 3

      It decides

Answer directly, use a tool such as a CRM search, or hand the job to a specialist agent.

    4. 4

      It does the work

Tools and specialists run one after another or side by side. Sensitive steps wait for your approval.

    5. 5

      You get the result

The answer appears as it’s written. Reports, tables and drafts open beside the chat.

    • RecordedEvery step, handoff and result is logged, so any answer can be traced and reviewed later.
    • StoppableCancel at any moment and the work stops cleanly.
    • One conversationHowever many agents and tools took part, you see one thread you can come back to.

    Inside AgentFlow

    Twenty-two building blocks, six jobs.

The blocks are modular. Use what a job needs, and replace or add parts without a rebuild.

    01

    Model gateway

One doorway to any AI model, measured on every call.

    02

    Prompt blocks

Instructions built from labeled, reusable pieces.

    03

    Reflection

Checks its draft against the request before answering.

    04

    Direct vs delegated

Talks to you directly, or works to another agent’s brief.

    One request, start to finish

Ten building blocks behind one answer.

    You type

“Prep me for my call with @Acme Corp tomorrow.”

You see one conversation and one brief. Behind it, ten building blocks did their part, and every step was recorded.

    1. 01Mentions

@Acme Corp selects the account record with that id.

    2. 02Memory · Personalization

It recalls that you like one-page briefs ending with action items.

    3. 03Guardrails

The request passes the company’s automatic checks.

    4. 04Sub-agents

The main agent hands work to two specialists: Records and Research.

    5. 05Tool calls

Records searches the CRM: open deals, recent emails, last meeting notes.

    6. 06Knowledge bases · Skills

Research checks the renewal playbook; the call-prep skill sets the format.

    7. 07Model gateway · Reflection

Each step uses its chosen model; the draft is checked against your request.

    8. 08Artifacts

A one-page brief opens beside the chat, ready to edit.

    9. 09Approvals

It offers to send the brief to your team. Nothing is sent until you approve.

    10. 10Usage · Cost · Budget · Feedback

The cost is logged against the monthly budget, and you rate the brief.

    Production and ownership

It installs in your environment, and you own the code.

Teams we work with often spend 6 to 12 months building the approvals, the trace and the cost controls before anyone uses the agent daily. AgentFlow is that layer. It installs once in your environment.

    • Walled off

Each organization gets its own database, so no data crosses between customers.

    • Secure sign-in

Industry-standard sign-in for users and for other applications calling the agents.

    • Every step on record

Each delegation, tool call and result is recorded in order, with token use and cost.

    • Survives a closed laptop

Close the tab and the work keeps running; reopen and it’s all there. Cancel any run cleanly.

    • Your cloud or your hardware

AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or on-premises. Reach it by API, Python or TypeScript, or embed its interface.

    • Full source code

Swap the model, the search engine or any tool without touching the core. No license to rent.

    Make it yours

Your agents sit beside the core, so an upgrade does not wipe them.

Each deployment adds its own agents, tools and content alongside the core, so it stays bespoke and still gets every upgrade.

    • No fork. Customizations sit beside the core, not inside it. Upgrades don’t mean redoing work.
    • Safe by default. Imported tools run in an isolated sandbox, with internet access off unless it’s allowed.
    • Designed in chat. Admins describe a new kind of artifact, preview it, then save it for everyone.
    • Proven at scale. One production deployment runs about 90 custom tools and 20 artifact types this way.

    What AgentFlow is.

AgentFlow connects any AI model to your systems and documents, adds memory and a team of specialists, and wraps that in rules, approvals and cost controls. It runs in your cloud. You can extend it, and you own the code.

    Isn’t that just ChatGPT?

ChatGPT answers from a chat window. AgentFlow is the code you install, connect to your systems, and build your own agents on.

    Is our data safe?

It runs in your environment, each customer is walled off, and agents only see what the signed-in user can see.

    What will it cost?

Every call is measured. Once the monthly cap is hit, the next call does not run.

Can we trust what it does?

Sensitive actions need approval, answers are checked before they go out, and every step is recorded.
